Our story

We started by writing software. Now we help India read genomes.

Software taught us precision, data and delivery at scale, exactly what genomics demands.

Geni examining genomic evidence

Genient began in 2017 as a novel technology developer serving India's software sector, founded by Mr Rajendra Singh, Mrs Anita Singh and Mr Anil Kumar, a family team carrying a 45-year business legacy in food processing, milk products and technology development.

When COVID-19 arrived, we turned that delivery discipline to diagnostics, supplying affordable testing to state governments. In 2022 healthcare became a dedicated business unit. Today it is who we are.

Seventy percent of medical decisions depend on a diagnostic result, yet the tests that change outcomes, multiplex PCR, sequencing, liquid biopsy often reach South Asia years late.

We close that gap as a single window for global innovators: selecting the right technologies, taking them through regulation, building the labs they run in and training the teams who use them.

Our purpose

Enabling equitable genomics access.

Mission

To make genomics and molecular diagnostics affordable and accessible across India, in ways that are sustainable and equitable meeting the country's emerging healthcare needs with the world's best science.

Vision

To be the most responsive and efficient partner enabling universal access to diagnostics and novel research.

A pledge from our Group CEO

Precision genomics that is accessible, reliable and clinically actionable.

For me, equitable access to genomics is not simply about bringing new technology to India. It is about ensuring that its clinical value reaches every patient who can benefit from it.

At Genient Technologies, this conviction shapes what we are building.

We are advancing platform-agnostic, India-relevant molecular and NGS solutions across infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, oncology and other areas of precision diagnostics connecting robust assays with bioinformatics and clinical interpretation.

Our ambition is to help move genomics beyond a few specialised centres and closer to routine clinical care, laboratories and public-health programmes.

Our pledge is clear: to make precision genomics more

  1. AccessibleBeyond a few specialised centres, into routine clinical care, laboratories and public-health programmes.
  2. ReliableRobust, platform-agnostic assays built for India's samples, settings and disease burden.
  3. Clinically actionableAssays connected to bioinformatics and clinical interpretation, so every result can guide care.

Because equitable genomics is ultimately not about how much we can sequence. It is about how many lives can benefit from what we learn.
